Year 4 Healey Primary Learners and Parents Session: ‘The World In A Coracle’ Workshop
We were delighted to be invited to Healey Primary School this week to lead a parent and learner session based on prehistoric coracle making and creative writing. The afternoon session involved thirty students and their families writing poems based on coastal travel in the ancient past and making model ancient boats or coracles. The finished pieces were very impressive and families had a brilliant time. Many thanks to all the FPHS staff and our Year 7 ‘Global Earthworks Ambassadors’ who helped to make the session a very memorable and lovely afternoon. We look forward to seeing the final coracle pieces at our ‘Global Earthworks’ showcase at The Manchester People’s History Museum on Sunday the 2nd of July 2017 from 12 noon until 3.00pm. Many thanks to Healey staff for their help and support with the project and the workshop and to the learners, parents and families who were very involved in making and creating!
